That season drove me to become a serious student of
the tild turkey and begin devoting my spring to the pursuit of this
great game bird. To date I have harvested 29 birds and called in
numerous others for clients and friends. I am retired from United
Parcel Service, but work in this area’s best sporting goods store
(GameMasters) where I serve as a pro staffer. I am instructor at our
annual turkey school, have mc’d a local turkey calling contest,
and held duck & goose calling seminars. I am scheduled to
instruct retriever training seminars this summer. I hunt turkey’s
from start to finish in both states. Missouri allows a 2 bird
harvest, while in Illinois I can draw up to 3 tags plus a fall tag.
My passion is hunting turkeys and helping others get their 1st bird.
I have spent hour after hour perfecting my calling and woodsman ship
skills and am delighted when I can help someone else with theirs.
I’m not a contest caller, my judges are wild turkeys. Where else
is it legal to shoot the “judges”? Call me if you need help or
have something you’re willing to share that will make me a more
successful turkey hunter as well. Good hunting!!
